Cecil McNab, Esq., has practiced all manner of law in all manner of jurisdictions over his 33 years of legal and consulting practice, including corporate, commercial, real estate, and trust and estate in the Americas, Europe, Asia, the Mid-East and Africa.  He experience is primarily transactional, with a large percentage of litigation and arbitration. He has been both in-house counsel and chief outside counsel for various companies. 

 

 
Mr. McNab commenced his international business practice at Curtis Mallet-Prevost Colt & Mosle in New York City, after which he practiced in Saudi Arabia with the Law Offices of Hassan Mahassni, which was affiliated with the New York City firm of Burlington, Underwood & Lord.  In Saudi Arabia he represented some of the major commercial families in both their business and private matters and he represented many multi-national corporations doing business in the Kingdom.  His representation of wealthy families included the creation of off-shore companies, trusts and other asset protection or tax minimization vehicles.  Additionally, he assisted many investors in obtaining U.S. citizenship through personal or corporate investments in the U.S.

In addition to law practice, he founded and operated a private equity firm for the purpose of diversifying clients’ wealth into other asset classes and other regions.  He was, and is, a principal in numerous operating firms.  Through these endeavors, he assessed opportunities, structured deals, closed deals and managed companies.  More importantly, he became a lawyer with a businessman’s perspective.

Mr. McNab is admitted to the bars of New York, California and the District of Columbia.  He holds a California real estate broker’s license, which permits him to broker the sale of real estate and businesses as well as broker loans. 

 

Mr. McNab has taught college mathematics and law school classes in corporation and taxation.  At the invitation of the U.S. Dept. of Commerce, Mr. McNab counseled trade delegations regarding EB-1 and EB-5 investments. He is a former trustee of New Roads School in Santa Monica, California; a member of the organizing committee of the annual Pan-African Trade and Development Fair in Los Angeles; a volunteer for the Los Angeles Superior Court Probate Courts. Formerly, he served as the legal and economic advisor to the Consulate of Belize in Los Angeles.

 

Mr. McNab holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of Southern California and a Juris Doctorate from Harvard Law School.
